A full weekend

I had the best weekend. My auntie came to stay with me and we saw the new production of Jesus Christ Superstar at the O2 on Friday night. It was phenomenal. I really hope they release a DVD or a CD of the production. On Saturday we met up with my cousin and her husband, who were also in London for the weekend, and we went to see The Phantom of the Opera. It was the fourth time I’d seen it but it never gets old. I didn’t think Marcus Lovett was as good a Phantom as John Owen-Jones or Ramin Karimloo but Sofia Escobar was one of the best Christines I’ve seen.

We ate at the Angus Steakhouse, which was a rather odd experience for me as a vegetarian but there were a couple of veggie options on the menu, and my spinach and ricotta strudel was tasty and surprisingly filling.

After looking round Covent Garden on Sunday morning, my auntie went to catch her train and I went home and watched the entirety of Parade’s End, lacking the energy to do anything else.
