Jewellery brand of the month: Pandacat Productions

For May’s jewellery brand I’ve chosen another UK brand, the relatively new, Glasgow-based:

PANDACAT PRODUCTIONS

This brand is the brainchild of Jess Milne and was only started this year. I’ve bought one piece already – the Second Star to the Right Necklace, which I wore to a theatre performance of Peter Pan.

I’ve also got my eye on this lovely Venetian Mask Necklace.

Jewellery brand of the month: Working Clasp

For this month’s jewellery brand I’ve chosen the UK-based:

WORKING CLASP

Working Clasp jewellery and accessories are designed and produced in Birmingham by Rebecca Cowley.

It’s a shame St Patrick’s Day has passed, because I love this Father Ted-inspired Father Jack shamrock pin.

Jewellery brand of the month: The Storybook Rabbit

As it’s nearly Easter, I thought it would be appropriate to pick a brand that focuses on that well-known Easter symbol, bunnies. This month’s jewellery brand, therefore, is:

THE STORYBOOK RABBIT

The brand is the creation of Kelly White, who is based in Sydney, Australia. Her designs mostly involve animals, are incredibly cute.

‘Shy bunnies’ are some of the best-known brooches in the Storybook Rabbit range. I particularly like this little Red Strawberry Bunny.

Red Strawberry Bunny

Articulated bunnies made from different acrylic pieces are also prevalent. St Patrick’s Day has just passed, but I think this Lucky Clover Bunny Buddy would be an adorable brooch for that occasion.

This Lop Rosette Bunny is made with white pearl acrylic, but he is available in lots of different colours, and matching rose brooches are available too.

It’s not just bunnies though – this Pretty Kitty Brooch is super sweet too. Molly the cat comes with an extra, tiny kitten brooch.

My favourite is possibly this gorgeously detailed Shadowbox Brooch.

Jewellery brand of the month: Black Heart Creatives

Happy February! I’m back in the UK with this month’s jewellery brand:

BLACK HEART CREATIVES

Black Heart Creatives is run by Charlotte in the Cotswolds. It specialises in bespoke and unique statement pieces. They make a lot of products that are completely different to those I’ve seen anywhere else.

I’m certainly not a Valentine’s Day person, but I couldn’t resist this Valentine’s Heart Chocolate Box Necklace.

This Prince Purple Rain Necklace is pretty cool.

This Eames Chair Necklace is available both with and without cat. Naturally I’ve chosen to picture the cat option.

Jewellery brand of the month: Lali Blue

Welcome to the first ‘jewellery brand of the month’ post for 2018! This month I’d like to share with you the Spanish brand:

LALI BLUE

Lali Blue is run by two independent designers in Castellón, Spain. Pieces are inspired by vintage style, fairytales and stories and made with wood, resin, metal and acrylic.

Top of my wishlist is this beautiful The Lion, The Witch and The Wardrobe Necklace, incredibly detailed.

This 1920s-inspired To the Light of the Moon Brooch is also stunning.

Last year’s Halloween collection featured this gorgeous Witch Brooch (which is also available as a necklace).

Jewellery brand of the month: Rock Cakes

I’m back to UK brands this month, and I would like to share the delights of the following brand with you:

ROCK CAKES

The store is run by jewellery designer Sarah in Brighton. What I love about this store is the range, from affordable enamel pins and wooden brooches to more pricey fine jewellery pieces with precious stones. However, whatever the price, each piece of Rock Cakes jewellery is unusual and quirky.

I’ll start simple: this Yay Necklace is cute and colourful.

This Tupperware Party Brooch Set is super adorable.

The Cracker Bang Necklace would make a brilliant Christmas gift.

The Fortune Fish Brooch Set is a great reminder of those fortune fish cracker gifts that provide hours of fun every Christmas.

Finally, this Planet Ring will be first on my list if I ever come into some money: it’s made of sterling silver and contains real precious stones.

Jewellery brand of the month: Miss Golly Gosh

I’ve chosen this brand for my October edition of ‘jewellery brand of the month’ simply because of its amazing selection of Halloween jewellery. I definitely want to get hold of at least one of these pieces. The brand in question is:

MISS GOLLY GOSH

Miss Golly Gosh is an Aussie brand, based in Melbourne, run by Christine. There are interior design and Art Deco influences in her work, such as in this Palm Springs brooch.

These monstera earrings are also pretty cool.

Jewellery brand of the month: Kaiju Candy

This month’s brand is yet another based Down Under. Kaiju Candy is the brainchild of Donna Mizzi and her husband Christian. Donna used to run Heidi and Gretel (I have a couple of H&G designs). Her new venture is bright, colourful and fun. Kaiju Candy say:

“We are inspired by Japanese Kaiju monsters, kitschy horror movies, carnival freaks and the strange.

We also love all things Aussie and like to create kooky versions of some of our fave local furry and feathered friends.”

Kaiju Candy

The store itself doesn’t offer international shipping, but various stockists are available, including Lottie & Lu who are based in the UK.

I own the Audrey II brooch from Heidi and Gretel; this Mean Green Mother brooch is completely different but equally awesome.

Jewellery brand of the month: Winnifreds Daughter

This month’s brand is another Aussie-based maker, whose gorgeous designs are available on Etsy:

Winnifreds Daughter

I really wish postage to the UK from Australia wasn’t so high, or else I’d buy more beauties like these! These gorgeous brooches (and there are some earrings too) are designed by Jessica Davis.

Top of my list is this Oz-inspired key brooch.

Jewellery brand of the month: Down the Rabbit Hole

July’s celebrated jewellery brand is one I’m very surprised I haven’t got round to posting about earlier. It’s probably one of the most affordable, possibly even the most affordable, jewellery brands out there, and there are loads of pieces from it on my wishlist. The brand in question is:

DOWN THE RABBIT HOLE

Down the Rabbit Hole is owned by Lynsey and based in Stockton-on-Tees. It specialises in affordable acrylic jewellery and accessories.

My first purchase from the brand was this super cute Alice in Wonderland Silhouette brooch, which also comes as a necklace.

Many items in the store are inspired by books, movies and TV shows. This Game of Thrones-inspired necklace is next on my list.

As is this Harry Potter necklace – I love the gold acrylic. You can get brooches and necklaces based on all of the Hogwarts houses, too.

Down the Rabbit Hole doesn’t just make jewellery. You can get box frames, chopping boards and door/wall hangers. I have this Harry Potter hanger in front of my desk at work!
